Wilmslow Cricket Club is not only Wilmslow's only cricket club, located in the heart of the town, but is also one of the friendliest and most inclusive clubs in Cheshire.
Hello and welcome to the Mens section of Wilmslow Cricket Club!

My name is Adrian Rowe and I’m the Team Secretary & Assistant Club Welfare Officer on the WCC Committee for the 2020 season. Having played cricket nearly all my life, I can understand how some might view it as a long boring game, however there’s loads of health & social benefits for playing!

If you’ve not played since school, or are a complete novice, we’ll teach you everything you need to know in our weekly training sessions, to make sure you get the most out of your experience of playing with The Squirrels. The basic rules are simple and involves sprinting between 2 wickets and running to stop balls, as well as bowling and throwing.

Being a part of Wilmslow Cricket Club isn’t just about playing cricket, we also have a strong social side, with monthly social events and trips to see professional games at Old Trafford as well. If you’re new to the area, or are looking to grow your friendship circle, Wilmslow’s local cricket team is for you!

Wilmslow Cricket Club was established in 1946 and played out of the Old Rectory in the centre of town, which is now occupied by the Miller & Carter. The club has 3 senior sides and an ever growing junior set up. 74 years later, the club plays just meters from its original home, and plays out of EveryBody Wilmslow Leisure Centre – but the same field has been used for the last 74 years.
